A few days ago we blogged about the Club Car Visage Guardian SVC GPS system. But what if you would like to have a golf cart GPS system in your own cart so you can track your score and give accurate distances to the hole?
For a few years now, golfers have used golf GPS systems such as SkyCaddy, and more recently apps on iPhones and Google Android cell phones, to provide this functionality. But why settle for a tiny screen that you have to carry around with you in your pocket. Well now there is a solution that allows you to mount an Apple iPad into your golf cart that runs a popular iPad golf GPS app, giving you a large easy to read screen to look at.
The following guide, Wallee golf cart mount, provides information on how to make a mount for your cart using the popular iPad Wallee wall mount. The mounting bracket for the Wallee is made using aluminum brackets and a piece of Lexan polycarbonate which is mounted to your golf cart roof with several bolts. The braket can be painted to match the color of the Wallee mount, or painted to blend in with the interior colors of your AirVue Golf, which offer similar functionality as the GPS systems that you would find in resort course golf carts. Track your scores, get yardages to the pin and look at a bird’s eye view of every hole. The Wallee mount allows you to remove your iPad with a flick of the wrist and you should expect to play two full rounds of golf with a fully charged iPad. And with a 3G iPad you can always browse the ‘net while waiting on the tees!!
