An inventor in Australia may have created a new way to carry your golf clubs when driving a golf cart. Coolum News reports that over 3 years ago Geoff Flett, from Yamba in New South Wales, south east Australia, created a golf cart with a built in club holder in the canopy roof.
“I wasn’t happy with how the clubs sat on the back of my cart. I thought there must have been a better way of carrying clubs.”
With over 50 years of golf experience Geoff was in good position to improve on the current way of putting your clubs on the cart. Having the bags on the back of the cart causes a few problems, for the elderly in lifting their bag onto the cart, and players sometimes have difficulty in finding the club they need. Geoff's golf club holder is made of fiberglass and replaces the standard golf cart canopy and allows for easy access to the clubs from the front of the cart. The clubs can be locked up after your round so there is no need for them to be removed every time.
His invention was recently patented, and due to high demand Geoff is struggling to keep up manufacture of the A$1500 club holder.
