Club Car 4 Passenger Stretch Kit

The Club Car Precedent stretch kit adds two extra forward facing seats

Club Car has recently released a 4 passenger stretch kit for their Precedent electric golf carts that adds two extra forward facing seats. Many electric golf carts are now increasingly used outside of the golf course in places such as gated communities, retirement and apartment complexes and for other individuals and business
owners who need to transport people rather than golf bags. This conversion kit is designed for those applications.

The usual way to add more passenger seating up to this point was to fit a golf cart flip seat which adds a rear facing seat for two extra passengers. Although this does increase the seating capacity, the passengers may not feel as safe as they would be in forward facing seats and they won’t be covered by the golf cart canopy. The safety issue will be of particular concern if a golf cart is driven on the street, which is becoming more popular.

“Unlike the optional rear-facing seat, the Precedent Stretch Conversion Kit allows all four passengers to face forward. This more familiar automotive configuration fosters conversation and increases passenger comfort,” said David Selby, director of consumer and commercial category at Club Car.

The Club Car Stretch Kit is a no-weld kit that adds 35 inches of extra leg room and only takes around four hours to fit. The kit includes all necessary hardware and fixings, but doesn't come with the actual seats. Club Car says this allows the owner to personalize their cart or match the new golf cart seats to the one's they've already got installed. An optional 103-inch canopy roof can also be specified in the kit which will protect all 4 passengers from the sun and rain.

The Club Car Stretch Kit is a great idea for street legal golf carts that overcomes the safety issues that are encountered when adding a rear facing flip kit for extra passenger capacity. As the stretch kit is produced by Club Car and designed for their Precedent electric golf carts we can be sure that it's an excellent product that will be up to the job of transporting the extra passengers safely. However, if you're planning on using this stretch kit with a street legal golf cart we would always recommend the fitment of seat belts for all four passengers.

Here's a video that shows how simple the process is to fit the Club Car Precedent Stretch Kit.
