Golf cart manufacturer E-Z-GO has renewed its sponsorship agreement with PGA Tour player Vaughn Taylor for the fifth year in a row.
Taylor is a two-time PGA Tour winner who attended Augusta State and still lives in Augusta, Ga., which is also the home of E-Z-Go. During his senior season at Augusta State Taylor was an honorable mention All-American, and turned pro in 1999. He is a two-time winner on the PGA Tour, winning over $10 million in career earnings, and represented the United States as a member of the 2006 Ryder Cup team.
Taylor moved Moved to Augusta, GA, as an infant and still resides near his parents. Taylor's family also has ties with E-Z-Go golf carts, as his mother worked at the company for 18 years.
"E-Z-GO is pleased to continue its support of professional golf through our partnership with Vaughn," said Mike Parkhurst, vice president of golf at E-Z-Go. "He has strong ties to the Augusta area, and we are very appreciative of his support of not only our business, but our community as well."
Taylor is currently ranked 368 in the world and has missed three cuts out of six events so far in the 2012 PGA Tour season.
"Having the support of E-Z-Go throughout my professional career has been very rewarding, and I'm delighted to continue to represent the company on the PGA Tour," Taylor said.
As per the sponsorship agreement, E-Z-GO's logo will appear on Taylor's headwear during the 2012 PGA Tour season, and he will make appearances at several corporate events throughout the year. His best finish on the PGA TOUR in 2012 is T16th at the Mayakoba Golf Classic and is currently ranked 118th in the FedEx Cup.
