32 Highboy Roadster Custom Golf Cart

Cruise the highways with this cool roadster custom electric golf cart

If you’re a hotrodder then this custom used golf cart maybe the perfect ride for bombing around your local golf course. This 32 Highboy Roadster is so well done that looking at the pictures you’d never know that it’s a mini-sized version. The workmanship on this electric golf cart would put many real roadsters to shame. The golf cart body has been lovingly hand-formed from steel, not from a low quality fiberglass panels as with most of the one’s you see for sale. The amount of work that went into the body is evident in the pictures.

Built on an E-Z-Go drivetrain this custom cart features a 36 Volt golf cart motor and six relatively new NAPA batteries. To keep it glued to the road it is fitted with race car style coil-over shocks, torsion bars and what look like treaded DOT street-legal tires.

This cart is for sale on a popular auction website for a starting bid of $8,000 and with all the time and effort that has gone into this cart we think it is a bargain. Other roadster golf carts usually have fiberglass bodies, which is why they can be a lot cheaper to make.

Custom One Of A Kind 32 Highboy Electric Golf Cart

eBay Auction Starting Bid $8,000

This auction is for a unique professionally handbuilt golf cart styled after a 1932 highboy roadster, complete with hot rod red flames on a yellow steel body with an aluminum floorpan. This golf cart started life as a new golf cart with EZ Go drive train componets. The body was hand formed from steel, complete with opening hood, 2 doors, and trunk. The trunk lid can be removed to reveal a back seat for more cruising company. Chrome sidepipes, front and rear nerfbars, tinted windshield, headlights, taillights, turn signals, brakelights, chrome slotted wheels with P155/80R13 on the rear, and a custom handmade grill were added to complete the look. This looks like a real hot rod until you get close enough to see the size.

The chasis consists of a double wishbone front suspension with billet coilover shocks, mini 10 bolt differential with coilover shocks, torsion bars, drum brakes, square tube frame, rack and pinion stearing, full length aluminum floorpan, powered by an electric 36 volt motor, 6 -one year old, NAPA's best batteries, and complete with the charger.

The interior is finished with black vinyl diamond upholstrey, 3 spoke stearing wheel, carpeted floor, ahooga horn, wolfe whistle, nonfunctional water temperature, oil pressure, and amp guage. The cart also has an AM/FM/CD, but it sounds bad and will need attention for proper cruising tunes.

The speed has never been checked, but no modifications were done to the golf cart drive componets, so about the same. The cart has never been ridden at one time till discharged, so run time is unknown, but will run for multiple hours on a charge.
