English Premier League soccer striker Carlos Tevez was spotted driving an E-Z-Go golf cart on a private course just days after admitting to a judge that he was caught driving without insurance while disqualified.
The Argentine plays for Manchester City, last year’s English league champions, and like most soccer players enjoys a relaxing round of golf to escape the mania surrounding the run-in to the Premiership title race. Rather than driving one of his expensive cars himself, after being sentenced at Macclesfield Magistrates’ Court in Cheshire last week he now has to be chauffeur driven everywhere he goes. He received a six-month driving ban and additional community service for his misdemeanors.
Top level soccer players are known for their love of fast and expensive cars but this can sometimes land them in trouble with the law, as Carlos has found out. It seems that the only place he can get his driving kicks for the next six months is on the golf course in a cart.
