Parks & Rec’s Aubrey Plaza Rides Golf Cart and ‘Blesses’ People – Video

Aubrey Plaza from NBC’s Parks and Recreation recently visited the Ringling College of Art and Design, she was at the campus as a guest of the Digital Filmmaking Studio Lab program. Plaza grabbed a ride on a Model T custom golf cart to the college’s “An Evening at the Avant-Garde” fundraising event.

Attendees to the scholarship fundraiser traditionally wear a costume, and this year’s theme was book characters. She blessed the crowd, wearing white gloves and blowing a whistle.

“Tell everyone that I’m the new pope,” Plaza told the SarasotaPatch

She enjoyed her time visiting the college and admired their facilities for film making, saying that she should of attended class more while at college herself.

The comedian, from Delaware, is best known for her role as April Ludgate in “Parks and Recreation”, and she is starring in an upcoming movie called “The To Do List,” that hits the movie theaters Aug. 16. She plays a high school senior, Brandy Clark, making a check list of sexual experiences before she heads to college.
