“Full” Golf Cart Windshields

Most golf cart windshields are “full”, that is, as a complete screen that fills the window aperture. Full golf cart windscreens offer the best protect for the occupants, both from the weather elements and from badly hit golf balls. “Full” windshields, when used in conjunction with golf cart rain enclosures, give full protection from the weather and are perfect for those who golf in all weathers, or who wish to drive their street legal cart through the winter.

“Half” Golf Cart Windscreens

A half golf windshield will only cover the bottom half of the window aperture and give little protection from the weather or errant golf balls. Although they give increased comfort for the occupants in hot weather they are not usually recommended for use on the golf course. Many owners of custom golf carts have fitted half golf cart windshields as they enhance the looks of golf cart body kits.

“Flip” Windshields

Golf cart flip windshields are two-piece designs that offer a compromise between a “full” golf cart windshield and a “half” screen. A golf cart flip windshield is a folding design which allows the top half of the screen to fold forward, or “flip”, providing welcome cool airflow for hot days. However, when folded down a flip golf cart windshield will not give full protection on the golf course.
